Education and Experience

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of pipeline operations, maintenance, measurement, and related equipment.

  • Working knowledge of use and function of computers and applicable spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Application of basic math and algebraic formulas.

  • Working knowledge of and/or training related to:

    • Transmission and/or gathering system operations

    • Company/governmental operating, environmental, and safety procedures

    • Emergency response procedures

    • Communications skills

  • Demonstrated ability to monitor pipeline activities and situations to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact, advice, and communicate effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to train, direct, and/or supervise; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, construction specifications and drawings, reports, and correspondence.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Certification and Licensing

  • Applicable driver’s license for travel to other locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out-of-doors.

  • Ability to operate tools and equipment required.

  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds in routine completion of job responsibilities.

Visual Requirements

  • Sufficient to perform job duties.

  • Ability to differentiate between colors.
