  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of compressors, turbines, pumps, and other rotating equipment related to the gas and gas liquids industry and use of related equipment.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of instrumentation, electrical, and process control equipment and systems.
  • Working knowledge of piping, valves, pressure relief devices, and related mechanical integrity inspections.
  • Working knowledge of use and function of computers and applicable spreadsheet and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Application of basic math and algebraic formulas.
  • Working knowledge of and/or training related to:
    • Company/governmental operating and safety procedures
    • Emergency response procedures
    • Budgeting and cost management
    • Maintenance work management system
  • Demonstrated ability to interact, advice, and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, direct, and/or supervise; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to compile and prepare reports, recommendations, and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret manuals, policies, procedures, permits, governmental regulations, construction drawings and maps, contractor quotes, compressor set-up sheets, reports, and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.


  • Applicable driver’s license for travel to other locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out-of-doors.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment required.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds in routine completion of job responsibilities.

Communication Requirements

  • Communicate and/or exchange verbal and written information and instructions; conduct oral presentations.

Visual Requirement

  • Sufficient to perform job duties.
  • Ability to differentiate between colors.
